Job summary

The Marvin Group, a defense contractor near Los Angeles, is seeking an Electrical Assembler II to build and test sub-systems for Alternate Mission Equipment. You will assemble, inspect, and modify electrical and electro-mechanical components, following blueprints and IPC standards.

Onsite work in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on teamwork and continuous improvement. Qualified candidates have 3–5 years in assembly, can read schematics, and can lift up to 35 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years’ experience in manufacturing or assembly.
• Ability to read blueprints and/or schematics.
• Must speak/read/write English.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tools and fixtures to fabricate and assemble electrical assemblies.
• Perform manual and computer-controlled operations for assembly and testing.
• Follow planning instructions and assembly drawings.
• Protect products from electro-static discharge (ESD) damage.
• Comply with soldering standards (Hi-REL, IPC/J-STD).
• Learn and apply trainings in daily work.
• Verify components and calibration are within tolerance/expiry.
• Apply Lean and 6S to maintain an efficient workspace.
• Perform other related duties as required.
