Job summary

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated is seeking a Part-Time Occupational Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to support Aerospace Operations in Havelock, NC. This role focuses on administering and improving workplace safety, environmental compliance, occupational health, and medical surveillance programs across aircraft maintenance, manufacturing, and field services.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of EHS experience supporting manufacturing, aerospace, industrial, or government operations.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and occupational health programs.
• Experience managing workers' compensation claims and medical surveillance programs.
• Strong incident investigation and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, local, and customer safety requirements.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and workplace assessments.
• Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Track and monitor safety metrics, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Support management during customer, regulatory, and third-party audits.
• Administer ACET's Occupational Health Program.
• Coordinate employee medical appointments with approved occupational health providers.
• Maintain confidential medical and surveillance records in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Monitor return-to-work and restricted-duty programs.
• Support accident reporting and regulatory notifications as required.
