Job summary

Barnes Aerospace in East Hartford, CT, is seeking an EDM technician for the 1st shift (Mon-Fri 7:00am–3:30pm). You will set up, program, and operate Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines to manufacture aerospace components to blueprints and GD&T requirements.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing, knowledge of EDM, and the ability to read operation sheets and adjust parameters. High school diploma required; competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read operation sheets and parameter sheets.
• Read and interpret routers, setup sheets, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate Wire and/or Sinker EDM machines using approved programs and tooling.
• Machine complex aerospace components to blueprint and customer specifications.
• Read and interpret routers, setup sheets, work instructions, and GD&T.
• Verify first-piece and in-process dimensions with measuring equipment.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and follow quality procedures.
