Job summary

The Entwistle Company is seeking an Aerospace & Defense Dimensional Inspection Specialist to ensure precision in measurements for mission-critical components. You will set up inspections, program/run CMM and FARO Arm checks, and verify features with micrometers, height stands, optical comparators, and thread gauges.

Daily duties include first-piece approvals, final inspections, and supplier verifications, with thorough documentation and formal reports.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent technical training required.
Minimum 5 years of inspection experience with solid knowledge of GD&T.
Ability to operate Coordinate Measuring Machines.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
Related military experience welcome.

Responsibilities

Review drawings and travelers, set up mechanical and visual inspections, and program/run CMM and FARO Arm checks.
Verify features with micrometers, height stands, optical comparators, and thread/plug gauges.
Perform first-piece approvals, final product and assembly inspections, and supplier verifications.
Document results and produce formal inspection reports; flag non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
Recommend improvements to methods and equipment; interface with customer and government representatives.
