Job summary

TAT Technologies in Tulsa, OK, is seeking a Design Engineer to design, develop, and support aerospace products from concept through production. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality and customers to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions.

The role emphasizes manufacturability, GD&T, and compliance with FAA and industry standards, with responsibilities spanning from design reviews to test planning and documentation.

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ design-related manufacturing experience.
  • SolidWorks experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret FAA/industry specifications.
  • U.S. citizenship or Green Card required.

Responsibilities

  • Design support through all phases from requirements to production and documentation.
  • Provide engineering technical support to OEM, Military, Commercial and Repair Station divisions.
  • Design mechanical components with manufacturability, reliability, maintainability and cost.
  • Interact with customers, vendors, and suppliers to identify solutions and develop new products.
  • Work on complex mechanical designs using CAD models.
  • Resolve difficult engineering problems with technical research.
  • Maintain CAD models and export to preferred CAD systems in PDM/PLM.
  • Review and approve product definition data and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Perform flow calculations and stress/strain validations for design changes.
  • PM: manage multiple projects with priorities.
  • Support manufacturing with non-conformances and root-cause analysis.
