Job summary

Sogeclair is seeking a Design Engineer to design, develop, and optimize aircraft components and assemblies. You will create and modify 3D models, develop drawings, and ensure compliance with client specs and industry standards.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams will emphasize manufacturability and performance. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of relevant experience, a mechanical engineering background, and proficiency in CATIA V5 or comparable software.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a diploma with relevant experience.
• Experience with aircraft primary/secondary structural elements is an asset.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 or similar design software.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop parts or assemblies per client requests and standards.
• Create or modify 3D models and prepare drawings/specifications.
• Standardize models/drawings to client and industry standards.
• Review modification requests and provide technical solutions.
• Support production and engineering teams with technical guidance.
• Adhere to AS 9100 requirements and QMS procedures.
