Job summary

Analog Devices, a global semiconductor leader, seeks a Field Applications Engineer in Southern California. You will support Aerospace/Defense customers, translate requirements into high‑performance designs, and mentor peers while collaborating across engineering, sales, and product teams.

You’ll engage in training, demonstrations, and design‑in activities, with opportunities to grow into senior engineering, sales engineering, or product marketing roles within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in product/Applications/design engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid RF/microwave and mixed-signal design knowledge.
• Hands-on lab experience with measurement, debugging, and validation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
• Collaborative cross‑functional approach across engineering, sales, and management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical liaison between customers, sales teams, and internal groups to support design‑in and deployment of RF/microwave solutions.
• Partner with Sales Engineers and mentor junior staff while expanding product expertise.
• Translate customer requirements into high‑performance engineering solutions and architectures.
• Deliver system‑level architectures tailored to specific customer applications in Aerospace/Defense.
• Provide feedback to Product Line teams regarding customer needs and opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with Product Line Management, Marketing, and Applications Engineering.
• Conduct customer training, presentations, and live demonstrations of products and tools.
