Job summary

DJ Engineering is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our wood shop supporting our shipping department. You will fabricate shipping crates and pallets for aerospace parts and tools, using table saws, miter saws, circular saws, pneumatic staplers and other hand tools.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints to meet customer requirements, lifting up to 50 lbs, performing routine maintenance, and completing other duties around the shop as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Strong work ethic and attention to quality.
• Flexibility to work weekends when needed.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow specs.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating crates and pallets for aerospace parts and tools.
• Operating shop equipment such as tables, miters and circular saws.
• Reading blueprints to meet customer requirements.
• Lifting and moving lumber up to 50 lbs.
• Performing periodic maintenance of wood shop equipment.
• Completing other duties around the shop as needed.
