Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. invites engineering students for a 2027 summer internship hosted in Wichita, KS, under Boeing’s Spirit Commercial umbrella.

You’ll work with Core Engineering and Research & Technology teams on real-world projects, including manufacturing tech, materials, and testing activities. Ideal candidates are enrolled in ABET-accredited programs, can commit full-time this summer, and demonstrate strong GPA and a passion for aerospace.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year ABET-accredited engineering program
• Ability to work full-time during Summer 2027
• Passion for the aerospace industry and interest in Boeing
• Academic excellence (GPA of 3.0 or higher)
• Relocation ability to work onsite in Wichita, KS

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing technology and process development
• Knowledge-based engineering, automation, and digital engineering methods
• Metals, composites, chemical processes, coatings, and finishes
• Structural test planning, instrumentation, test execution, and data analysis
• Research studies, trade assessments, and technology maturation
