Job summary

Belcan Corporation in West Lafayette, Indiana is seeking a Controls Engineer to support integration and testing of multi-purpose test rigs for gas turbine system electronics and controls. The role requires a BS in Electrical, Systems or Aerospace Engineering and hands-on test rig experience.

The successful candidate will work with Python, LabVIEW and scripting, be comfortable with electronic test equipment, and be able to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Previous test rig experience, building or modifying test rigs preferred.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Aptitude for computers, software and scripting languages.
• Comfortable with electronic test equipment (Oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters).
• Willingness to travel locally up to 25%.
• Hybrid work environment including virtual teams.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, configure, maintain and operate test rigs for gas turbine system electronics and controls.
• Debug, troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on test rig setups and unit under test.
• Review verification findings to determine root causes and remedies.
• Support design and integration of new engine component features across product lifecycle.
• Assist with instillation of components and support multiple stakeholders during verification and validation.
