Job summary

KBR is seeking a Contamination and Control Engineer for on-site work at NASA GSFC in Greenbelt, MD. You will lead contamination control efforts for spacecraft and instruments, supervising technicians during I&T and ensuring proper cleaning, inspection, bagging, and transport of hardware.

The role requires strong aerospace clean room experience, ability to collaborate across disciplines, and agility in a fast-changing testing environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in aerospace clean rooms with space-flight hardware.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or Math or equivalent.
• Strong communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement contamination controls for spacecraft, instruments and hardware.
• Guide technicians during I&T operations to ensure proper contamination control.
• Coordinate cleaning, inspection, bagging and transport of hardware.
• Assist in troubleshooting contamination problems and applying project requirements.
