Job summary

CFOAM, Triadelphia, West Virginia, is seeking a Composites Supervisor to oversee daily operations in the aerospace composites department. You will lead a team of technicians and ensure production goals are met while complying with quality standards and customer specifications.

The role requires 3–5 years in aerospace composite manufacturing, prior supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of layup, prepreg, infusion, autoclave, and related processes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in aerospace composite manufacturing.
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
• Strong knowledge of composite processes (hand layup, prepreg, infusion, autoclave, OOA).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience working to aerospace quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP preferred).
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and production tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily composite manufacturing activities and teams.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and customer specs.
• Manage schedules, staffing, and on-time delivery.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance in layup, curing, coating, trimming, and assembly.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Promote workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Train and mentor technicians and leads.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and program management.
• Track production metrics and labor utilization.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction.
