Job summary

SQA Services is seeking a Level II Composites Inspector in Avon, OH to conduct advanced visual, dimensional, and FAI inspections on aerospace composite parts and assemblies.

You will review traveler paperwork, ply layup charts, cure reports, and material traceability records, ensuring compliance with AS9100/AS9102 standards. The role requires 3+ years of aerospace composite inspection experience and the ability to work at supplier sites with ITAR requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct experience inspecting composite materials in aerospace.
• Knowledge of ply layup, autoclave curing, vacuum bagging, and bonding.
• Familiarity with AS9102 and FAI processes.
• Ability to read aerospace drawings and layup charts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect composite materials (carbon fiber, fiberglass, honeycomb, bonded assemblies).
• Perform in-process, final, and first article inspections (AS9102).
• Identify defects such as delamination, voids, bridging, porosity, FOD.
• Review traveler paperwork and material traceability records.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using inspection aids and depth gauges.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100/AS9102 quality standards.
• Adeptly complete inspection reports and maintain records.
