Job summary

Poseidon Aerospace is seeking a Composites Engineer to bridge design and fabrication for advanced aerospace structures. You will develop tooling, molds, and fixtures, define manufacturing processes for composite airframes, and work closely with engineering to ensure manufacturability and efficiency.

You’ll support prototype builds on the shop floor, troubleshoot issues, and help transition designs to production while driving continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Materials Engineering.
• 2–5 years hands‑on composite fabrication or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of composite materials and processes (hand layup, resin infusion, RTM, bonding).
• Experience supporting technicians and shop‑floor operations.
• Ability to design tooling and fixtures using CAD software.
• Familiar with GD&T and proper tolerancing for tooling designs.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate and procure tooling, molds, jigs, and fixtures for fabrication and assembly.
• Develop and document manufacturing processes for composite airframe components.
• Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and production efficiency.
• Support prototype builds, troubleshoot issues on the floor, and optimize build quality.
• Define material handling, curing cycle parameters, and maintain process documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and digital integration.
