Job summary

Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) is an aerospace manufacturer seeking a Composite Technician for lay-up, braiding and filament winding of composite materials in accordance with customer specifications. The role supports production while following safety policies and using proper PPE.

Primary responsibilities include identifying materials, assisting with cutting, performing lay-ups per blueprints, vacuum bagging, and helping load autoclaves and ovens.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• US Persons due to DOD contract obligation.
• Visa sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Identify process materials, prepregs, adhesives and resins.
• Assist with cutting and kitting materials.
• Complete lay-ups using shop orders, blue prints or laser ply projector.
• Vacuum bag basic shapes and sizes.
• Assist in loading autoclaves and/or ovens with forklifts, cranes or handling carts.
• Monitor and verify quality of finished product.
