Job summary

Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) in Salt Lake City is seeking a Composite Technician to perform lay-up, braiding and filament winding of composites per specifications. The role involves working with prepregs, adhesives and resins, and requires operation of autoclaves and ovens, plus material handling with forklifts or cranes.

Primary duties include cutting and kitting materials, laying up parts per shop orders or blueprints, vacuum bagging shapes, and ensuring product quality.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• U.S. person is required for this contractor role.
• No visa sponsorship is offered.

Responsibilities

• Identify process materials, prepregs, adhesives and resins.
• Assist with cutting and kitting materials.
• Complete lay-ups using measuring instruments per shop orders, blueprints or laser ply projector.
• Vacuum bag basic shapes and sizes.
• Assist in loading autoclaves and/or ovens with forklifts, cranes or handling carts.
• Monitor and verify quality of finished product.
• Perform repairs per rework instructions.
