Job summary

Odys Aviation is seeking a Composite Technician to support fabrication, assembly, integration, and testing of composite and metallic structures across its aircraft platforms. You’ll work closely with engineers to manufacture parts, complete bonded assemblies, and install airframe components, wiring harnesses, and actuation systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with composite fabrication, repair, or assembly.
• Experience with prepreg or wet layup, mold preparation, vacuum bagging, and oven curing.
• Experience applying resins, structural adhesives, sealants, fillers, and primers.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• OSHA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare molds and tooling, including cleaning, releasing agents, and mold prep.
• Perform composite layups using prepreg and wet‑layup materials.
• Mix and apply resins, adhesives, sealants, fillers, and primers per work instructions.
• Perform vacuum bagging, leak checks, and oven‑cure operations.
• Trim, drill, sand, finish parts for bonding and assembly.
• Assemble bonded composites and composite‑to‑metal structures.
• Set up and operate torque wrenches, drills, saws, sanders, heat guns, and soldering irons.
• Fabricate/test rigs, jigs, fixtures; interpret drawings and layup schedules.
• Handle tight‑tolerance aerospace components; install prototype assemblies.
• Support in‑house/external structural and systems testing.
