Job summary

MD Composites Technology GmbH seeks a structural designer for fibre composite aircraft structures. You will design, develop and optimise components and assemblies using CAD tools, with emphasis on production readiness and documentation.

Ideal candidates have aeronautical engineering education, strong knowledge of fibre composites, and fluent German and English. Collaboration across disciplines and ongoing training are encouraged, with hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Completed aeronautical engineering studies or comparable technical qualification.
• Experience in design of aircraft, preferably with a focus on small aircraft (CS-22 & CS-23).
• Extensive knowledge of fibre composite structures and their manufacturing.
• Experience in analytical design and numerical simulation of fibre composite structures.
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
• Initiative, reliability and flexibility.
• Analytical and structured thinking.
• Good communication skills and team-orientated.

Responsibilities

• Design, development and optimisation of fibre composite aircraft structures.
• Standard structural design calculation and verification of parts and components and their documentation.
• Use of CAD software (OnShape, Siemens NX, SolidWorks) to create construction and design data.
• Ensuring production-ready design and support with Prototype and series production.
• Willingness for continuous further training and interdisciplinary knowledge building.
