Job summary

Swift Engineering Inc is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the manufacture and assembly of composite and metallic aerospace components in an open shop environment in California. You will work closely with engineers, program managers, and manufacturing teams to fabricate and assemble parts for Swift's programs.

The role requires 5+ years of aviation technician experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in aviation-related technician work.
• Experience using hand tools for assembly and joinery.
• Knowledge of drilling, trimming and fairing techniques.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Experience with aerospace fasteners and QC tools.
• Experience with composite materials and lamination processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine lamination, drilling/finishing, and assembly processes for prototypes or LRIP programs.
• Verify new processes and provide feedback to improve production.
• Assist Operations and management with technical clarification and tool design.
• Operate or assist in critical processes including composite/metal bonding and trimming.
• Apply strain gauges, perform autoclave operations, and support in-process quality control.
• Support shop-floor supervision and scheduling; maintain clean, safe work area.
