Job summary

Applied Composites in California seeks a Production Assembler 1 to perform routine assembly of small parts under defined instructions. You will use light powered tools and hand tools to assemble subassemblies, sandblast parts, and prep composites for paint.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in assembly environment.
• Experience laminating carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use basic shop tools such as sanders, grinders and drill motors.
• Verify dimensions with calipers, scales and micrometers.
• Document materials used to maintain traceability.
• Work at a fast pace to produce quality subassemblies.
• Sandblast parts with minimal scrap.
• Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles.
• Demonstrate safety policies and procedures.
