Job summary

Applied Composites is seeking a Production Assembler 1 to perform routine assembly operations on small parts under defined instructions. You will use light powered tools, sandblast parts, and assist with prep for paint while ensuring quality and safety.

The role requires basic math, reading of instructions, and adherence to LEAN manufacturing principles. The position is based in Los Alamitos, CA, and involves working with a team in a manufacturing environment that serves aerospace and defense

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; basic education for math and reading.
• Ability to read and interpret basic shop instructions and safety policies.
• Experience with small parts assembly and use of light shop tools preferred.
• Comfort with lean manufacturing principles and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine assembly operations on small parts per defined instructions.
• Use light powered tools and hand tools for subassemblies.
• Sandblast parts with minimal scrap; prepare composites for paint as needed.
• Maintain dimension verification with calipers and micrometers.
