Job summary

Chromalloy Gas Turbine, LLC is seeking a Chemical Process Operator to perform thermal coating processes for pack aluminide coatings on gas turbine components. You will work in a team to apply coatings, prepare surfaces, inspect finished work, and document production according to strict quality and safety standards.

The role supports manufacturing and repair of aerospace components, with a rotating 12-hour night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM and a $3.00/hr shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding work instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong shop math skills, including fractions, decimals, multiplication, and division.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to safely operate coating and processing equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Nice to have coatings, thermal processing, or special process experience.
• Aerospace or gas turbine component manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform pack aluminide coating processes, including A12 retort packing and A12 furnace loading.
• Apply spray coatings and perform abrasive blasting in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications.
• Monitor coating application and adherence to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Perform additional processing tasks as needed, including assembly, disassembly, vibratory tumbling, blending, peening, grit blasting, and masking/preparation.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• Inspect and certify your own work using measuring and inspection tools.
• Complete required quality documentation and production records.
• Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
• Support 5S, CPEX, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
