Job summary

Actalent in Wichita, KS is seeking an NC Programmer to develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis machining of aerospace components using CATIA v5 or Mastercam. The role requires strong five-axis programming experience and the ability to interpret complex technical documentation.

You will support manufacturing by creating efficient programs, coordinating start-ups, and driving process improvements to quality, cost, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in CATIA v5 CNC programming for multi-axis parts.
• Experience programming five-axis CNC machines, preferably aerospace.
• Ability to read blueprints, specs, and tooling concepts.

Responsibilities

• Write and modify CNC programs for multi-axis parts.
• Coordinate program start-ups and on-the-floor support.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend tools.
• Monitor CNC performance and adjust for quality and cycle time.
• Evaluate new/modified programs for feasibility and cost.
• Maintain program files and revision histories.
• Review existing programs and propose efficiency improvements.
• Adapt programs to meet customer specs and standards.
• Interpret blueprints, specs, PO, tooling concepts for machining solutions.
• Prepare reports and procedure manuals.
• Apply geometry and math to machining scenarios.
• Work independently to meet deadlines.
