Job summary
MPI near Glenwillow, OH seeks a process engineer to optimize aerospace machining and ensure tight-tolerance quality. You will develop manufacturing plans, analyze drawings and GD&T, and support CNC setup across turning, milling, grinding, and manual machining.
You will design fixtures, create inspection plans, maintain 3D CAD documentation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.
Qualifications
- CNC manufacturing experience is required.
- Experience with 3D modeling and CAD tools.
- Programming experience is a plus.
- Experience driving manufacturing process improvements.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks and Mastercam is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes for tight-tolerance parts.
- Create manufacturing plans with sequences, tooling, and standards.
- Translate drawings and GD&T into production workflows.
- Support CNC setup and validation across turning, milling, grinding, and manual machining.
- Design fixtures and tooling to improve repeatability and throughput.
- Create inspection plans and perform in-process verification.
- Collaborate with CNC programmers, QA, and production with 3D CAD docs.
- Conduct root-cause analysis to resolve issues and drive improvements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for quotes and certifications.
- Maintain ERP routing, labor standards, and process documentation.
- Review orders for engineering changes and revisions before production.
- Partner on continuous improvement for quality, cost, and delivery.
