Job summary

Skyeton Inc. is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up, operate, inspect, and maintain CNC equipment for aerospace components in Fayetteville, NC. Work from engineering drawings and specifications to ensure dimensional accuracy, traceability, and quality.

Qualifications

• Two years CNC machining experience in precision environments or related education may count toward experience.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC mills or lathes with limited supervision.
• Able to read engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and BOMs.
• Knowledge of GD&T and basic machine troubleshooting.
• Capable of entering production, inspection, and quality records accurately.
• Strong math, mechanical aptitude, and safety focus.
• Effective communication and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or other equipment per drawings and work instructions.
• Interpret GD&T, BOMs, and production documentation for parts.
• Select and verify tooling, fixtures, and machining parameters.
• Load and adjust CNC programs; monitor for wear, drift, or variation.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections with standard tools.
• Document travelers, inspections, labor, and material transactions promptly.
• Collaborate with QE, production, and quality teams to improve processes.
