Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Morton, IL is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on setting up and operating CNC machines with established programs, fixtures, and methods to produce aerospace components to tight tolerances.

You will read blueprints, adjust tooling and feeds/speeds, and inspect parts for dimensional accuracy. This position requires 2–4 years of CNC experience and the ability to work on multiple machines in a cellular environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years CNC machinist experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficient in basic mechanical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines with established programs, fixtures and methods.
• Make edits and adjustments to meet work orders/blueprints.
• Operate more than one machine in a cellular environment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of feeds and speeds and cutting tools.
• Inspect work for dimensional features per specs.
• Complete paperwork related to counts, scrap, time, etc.
• Maintain neat, safe, and orderly work area and tooling.
• Assist new operators and follow company policies.
