Job summary

Cambridge Specialty Company Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Programmer to join our aerospace manufacturing team. You will program CNC turning machines, develop processes for aerospace parts, and collaborate with engineers and operators on first runs.

Proficiency with SolidWorks and CAMWorks is a plus; prior CNC programming experience is required or strongly preferred. Training is available to expand tooling and method capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience programming CNC turning machines in an aerospace context.
• Solid understanding of aerospace machining standards is helpful.
• Willingness to learn and cross-train within the business.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC turning machines.
• Develop machining processes for aerospace parts; collaborate with the team on more complex components.
• Generate setup sheets, operation documentation, and NC programs for each machining operation.
• Design machining fixtures and provide operation sheets for tooling as needed.
• Work with CNC operators and setup personnel during development and initial runs.
• Select cutting tools and leverage existing tool libraries while remaining open to new tooling solutions.
• Use SolidWorks for model design, integrated with CAMWorks for NC programming.
