Laborup in Huntsville, AL seeks Quality Inspectors to perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of precision-machined components. Job description

We are partnering with a rapidly growing precision manufacturer serving the aerospace, defense, medical device, and other high-precision industries to hireQuality Inspectors.

This role is responsible for inspecting complex precision-machined components throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet engineering specifications and customer quality standards. You'll work closely with machining, engineering, and quality teams in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment.

Shifts: Hiring 1st and 2nd shift

Compensation: $28–40/hr(depending on experience)

• Hermle, Heller, Zayer, and DN Solutions machining centers
• Siemens Sinumerik & Heidenhain controls

Responsibilities:

• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on precision-machined components.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, height gages, bore gages, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Operate CMMs and other advanced inspection equipment to verify dimensional compliance.
• Document inspection results and maintain quality records.

• 5+ years of quality inspection experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Experience with aerospace, defense, medical device, or other high-precision manufacturing.
• Experience using CMMs for part verification (programming experience is a plus but not required).
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
