Job description

Position Summary:

A CMM operator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of a CMM to ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications. Working onsite in a TRIGO ADR facility or at our customers’ location, applicants must have aerospace and manufacturing experience with well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to follow processes and procedures established by CMM Programmers.

Essential Functions:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform and run existing programs utilizing programs such as: PCDMIS, CALYPSO, or other programming languages.
  • Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
  • Review inspection records received for compliance.
  • Maintain inspection and measuring equipment.
  • Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for nonconforming parts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, to include incoming inspection and shipping/receiving.
  • Experience or knowledge with other inspection devices such as: 3D scanners, FARO arms, etc.

Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office Products.
  • FAI’s – AS9102.
  • Hand measurement tools.
  • CMM Inspection processes and procedures.
  • GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
  • Blueprint interpretation.

Skills:

  • Professionalism, integrity, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong independent decision-making skills; excellent analytical skills and professional judgment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (2010 Excel basic skills required).

Abilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Pass pre-hire background check including drug and MVR screening.

Experience/Education:

  • Education -- High School Graduate or Equivalent or Higher.
  • CMM experience- 2 years.
  • Aerospace/Manufacturing Experience-2 years.

Licenses, Certificates & Other Requirements:

  • US citizenship required.
  • Fluent English – reading and writing is required.
  • Pass pre-hire background check including MVR screening.
  • Pass Pre-hire Drug Screening.
  • Reliable transportation - must have current/active drivers' license and auto insurance.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Productivity: Incumbents must perform work in an efficient, effective, and timely manner with minimal direction.
Mobility: Incumbents are required to participate in assigned physical activities which may include light lifting and sitting for prolonged periods of time.
Vision: Vision sufficient to read printed documents, computer screens, and observe behavior of others.
Environment: Typical manufacturing plant conditions, directly working Quality management team, working with the ADR team, and external customers.
Other Factors: Typical hours worked are Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Incumbents may be required to work occasional extended hours and weekend overtime. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk (approximately 1-2 miles a day); sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee will occasionally drive long distances to and from various suppliers as needed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.

Pay Range: $22.00- $30.00 per hour. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
