Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Cleaning & Component Refurbishment Supervisor to lead the CCR Laboratory at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. You will coordinate workflow, supervise technicians, and ensure safe, compliant cleaning and testing of fluid components for missile and space vehicle programs.

The role demands strong organizational and technical leadership, with responsibility for scheduling, training, and maintaining quality across refurbishment operations tied to the LASSO II contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in cleaning and testing of fluid components and systems for missiles and space vehicles.
• Extensive knowledge of cleaning, disassembly/reassembly, testing and handling of hazardous materials and equipment.
• Experience in precision cleaning of fluid systems or components.
• Ability to train and supervise others.
• Ability to communicate clearly and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct Component Refurbishment department supervisors and mechanics.
• Direct, schedule and set priorities for refurbishment work and testing functions.
• Ensure safety standards and handling of hazardous materials are followed.
• Oversee training of staff in precision cleaning/refurbishment operations.
• Oversee equipment transport, setup, and operation for decontamination and testing.
• Provide input on capital equipment and new technology needs.
• Serve as technical contact for customer questions and issues.
• Maintain time cards and performance evaluations; manage overtime and staffing.
• Oversee stockroom operations and parts/materials coordination.
• Coordinate with other shops to support LRU processing and project goals.
• Act as Property Control Officer and perform annual property audit.
