Job summary

Belcan Corporation in Ogden, Utah is seeking a Chemical Process Operator for 2nd shift on swings (Mon-Fri 3:30pm-1:00am) to perform chemical, metallurgical and mechanical testing and operate lab equipment.

You will document results, follow SOPs, and support continuous improvement while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. A minimum of one year of manufacturing lab experience is preferred; aerospace background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of manufacturing experience in a laboratory setting.
• Experience with chemical, mechanical, and metallographic testing.
• Experience in lab inventory control.
• Strong math abilities and data recording.
• Proficiency with analytical lab equipment and scales.
• Background in aerospace is preferred.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Ability to work in a schedule-driven environment.
• Knowledge of safety and PPE procedures.
• Ability to operate lab equipment and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor equipment such as air scrubbers and wastewater treatment.
• Perform wet chemistry, colorimetric and pH testing.
• Record production data and maintain logs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering for repairs.
• Load/unload parts, and oversee etching processes.
• Support continuous process improvement.
