Job summary

Standex International is seeking a Check & Straighten operator for its Aerospace & Defense segment. The role supports production by setting up parts, verifying contours, and maintaining clean work areas on a day shift. On-the-job training is provided, with overtime possible as production requires.

Employees should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for 8 hours, and work well in a team environment across warehouse and manufacturing tasks.

Qualifications

• No formal education required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours a day.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up parts on pedestals, punch and/or check fixtures.
• Use prescribed solvents and cleaning agents to remove dirt and grit.
• Use hammers, pneumatic and/or hydraulic tools, gauges, fixtures as required.
• Scribe, cut and/or shear, grind and deburr as per instructions.
• Performs check & straight operations to support the production schedule.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations and guidelines.
• Handle pallets, hand carts and manually lift/carry parts as needed.
• Participate in on-the-job training as determined by supervisor/manager.
