Job summary

The successful candidate will read drawings, operate welding equipment, and help improve welding processes. The position requires 8+ years of welding experience, a HS diploma, and the ability to obtain AWS D17.1.2001 certification.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 8+ years of welding or related experience.
• Able to become certified to AWS D17.1.2001.
• Able to read and understand blueprints, procedures, weld symbols and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of manual, automatic and/or semiautomatic welds utilizing a variety of equipment on high temperature alloys as specified by blueprints and welding procedures.
• Read and interpret product and process drawings, weld symbols, and quality requirements; perform pre-weld cleaning.
• Set up and operate manual and automatic welding systems per work instructions and good welding practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area; contribute to process improvement and training of other welders.
