Job summary

EVONA seeks a meticulous Calibration Engineer to join its Quality Engineering Team in Austin, TX. You will lead calibration programs for aerospace M&TE, ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 17025, and related standards while supporting audits and process improvement.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Engineering with 5+ years in calibration or metrology, strong GD&T, and measurement uncertainty expertise. ASQ CCT or Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of calibration, metrology, or quality engineering in aerospace/defense.
• Strong knowledge of metrology principles, GD&T, and measurement uncertainty analysis.
• Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540, and related standards.
• Experience with asset management software, statistics tools, and MS Office.
• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve calibration program meeting industry, customer and regulatory requirements.
• Schedule and perform calibrations to ensure compliance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain calibration records per QMS requirements.
• Develop and execute calibration procedures for aerospace M&TE per AS9100/ISO17025.
• Manage suppliers and contracts for equipment rental, purchase, and services.
• Analyze calibration data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Lead investigations into calibration failures and nonconformances.
• Train technicians on proper calibration techniques and equipment handling.
