Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced designer/draftsperson to develop components and modify major systems. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, and planning teams to create and refine product designs and drafting layouts.

The role requires five years of drafting experience, strong GD&T knowledge, and proficiency in 3D CAD (CATIA preferred). Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Five years modeling and drafting experience with an AA degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of GD&T and ANSI Y14.5.
• Military drawing standards (DOD-STD-100 / DOD-D-1000).
• Proficient in 3D CAD, CATIA preferred.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material and planning groups.
• Prepare rough concepts and layouts using CAD.
• Detail designs applying manufacturing and assembly principles.
• Gather data for drafting problems and perform studies.
• Utilize specifications and vendor data for design tasks.
• Review and check detail/assembly drawings for production hardware.
• Conduct tolerance studies and FMEA analyses.
• Use Product Lifecycle Management tools.
• Perform related design and drafting duties.
