Job summary

RTX, the world's leading aerospace and defense company, offers a hybrid Co-Op in Aguadilla, PR. The position runs January to June and requires residency in Puerto Rico at start with no relocation offered.

You will learn about the engineering & technology team in Puerto Rico, work on design data checks, tolerancing, materials specs, and documentation control, while collaborating with engineers and CAD specialists in a blended work setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; pursuing Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Basic understanding of GD&T principles and ASME standards.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling software (NX or SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

• Design database and documentation checking for new design or revisions.
• Apply tolerancing and producibility knowledge to ensure cost effective design.
• Assist engineering in materials, finishes, and processes specifications.
• Prepare hardware design documentation for release.
• Enter data into the documentation control system.
• Support CAD tooling as needed for software tools.
• Validate change definitions and revision capture in design data.
• Communicate in English with customers and colleagues.
