Job summary

FDH Aero, a global aerospace and defense supplier, seeks a Production Technician to independently perform qualified cable and wire harness assembly operations while following established quality and manufacturing requirements.

You will build assemblies from engineering drawings, set up tooling, perform electrical tests, and inspect workmanship, documenting results accurately. The role includes training peers and maintaining safety standards in a full-time facility in Sanger, TX.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED. Relevant manufacturing experience may be considered.
• 1–3 years in cable or wire harness assembly, electronics, aerospace, or defense manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret cable assembly drawings, schematics, work instructions, and other documentation.
• Proficiency with hand tools, production equipment, and testing equipment.
• Able to complete standard and moderately complex assemblies and troubleshoot routine issues.

Responsibilities

• Build cable assemblies and wire harnesses from drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Perform crimping, soldering, splicing, termination, connector assembly, and cable prep.
• Set up and use production tooling and test equipment.
• Conduct electrical tests (continuity, resistance, hipot/insulation) as trained.
• Inspect assemblies for workmanship, routing, labeling, and conformity.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate as needed.
• Complete manufacturing and inspection documentation accurately.
• Support first-piece, in-process, and final inspections; perform rework per procedures.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced technicians and maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
