Job summary

Western Aircraft Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Cabinet Technician to build and refurbish custom aircraft cabinetry in a hangar environment.

The role involves fabricating cabinets, doors, tables, and trim from blueprints, and performing installations and refinishing per specifications. The ideal candidate has at least four years of aviation cabinetry experience, reads blueprints and manuals, and can manage work orders and required paperwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years’ experience in aviation cabinetry or related field.
• Reads and interprets manuals, diagrams, blueprints and work orders.
• Possesses tools necessary to perform job.
• Ability to fill out work orders and required paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Cabinet Lead to understand scope of work.
• Repair and replace damaged wood per customer specs.
• Remove cabinets from aircraft and transport to shop.
• Disassemble cabinets, label parts for identification.
• Fabricate new cabinets, doors, tables and trim from drawings using required tools.
• Repair hinges, latches, doors and related components.
• Fit, mount, install and assemble cabinets/doors in aircraft.
• Remove Formica or veneer prior to refinishing.
• Apply Formica or veneer per finish instructions.
