Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company in Graham, KY is seeking a Buyer to support direct spend for production programs. You will manage supplier RFQs, POs, and sourcing, coordinating with Engineering and Proposal teams to secure high-quality materials on time.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in a related field and 5+ years in tactical purchasing, with knowledge of FAR/DFARS. Proficiency in ERP and MS Office, plus strong communication and multi-tasking skills, is required. Travel 0–10%.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain, Finance, Business or relevant degree.
• 5+ years of tactical purchasing experience in Aerospace/Defense or related industries.
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Procure direct materials and services for Graham, KY operations and engineering.
• Create and manage RFQs, POs and supply Kanban systems.
• Assess supply base capability, source suppliers, negotiate and monitor deliveries.
• Support new product proposals as procurement lead with engineers.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and government procurement docs.
• Drive continuous improvement with suppliers to improve cost, quality, on-time delivery.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
