Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, Inc. is seeking a Buyer II at our Chandler, AZ site to manage purchasing of components, liaise with Value Streams, Supervisors, Marketing, and Master Scheduler, and ensure timely delivery for production needs.

The role requires strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, and experience with MRP systems, Excel, Word, and Access databases. A High school diploma is required; a BA/BS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience buying in a similar industry or equivalent supply chain experience.
• BA/BS in Supply Chain, Business, or Materials-related field may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Working knowledge of production planning, MRP, Kanban, and inventory control systems.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Access).

Responsibilities

• Communicate priorities and schedule changes to Outside Processing Suppliers daily to support production.
• Establish and maintain positive supplier relationships; communicate issues to leadership and procurement teams.
• Monitor supplier orders to ensure timely shipments to support Value Streams.
• Obtain quotes for production materials and Outside Processing operations.
• Collaborate with sourcing teams to optimize procurement and supplier risk management.
• Publish daily shortage reports to convey current delivery information to stakeholders.
• Manage supplier quality through NCR processes and coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering and Purchasing.
