Our client in Huntsville is seeking a Buyer to own procurement execution across aerospace programs from requisition through final payment. You will keep production materials on time, on budget, and to spec, directly supporting spaceflight missions.
The role emphasizes RFQ/RFP preparation, cost analysis, negotiations, and compliance with FAR/DFAR/SOX. A minimum of 5+ years in aerospace buying is required, with experience in machined parts or avionics.

Our client's Supply Chain team is hiring a Buyer to own procurement execution across aerospace programs — from requisition through final payment. You'll keep production materials on time, on budget, and to spec, and your work directly supports safe human spaceflight. Passion for the mission is required.
Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs, run cost analysis, build negotiation strategies, and lead formal negotiations
Construct contracting vehicles: long-range procurement agreements, sourcing partnerships, continuous improvement initiatives
Expedite late parts, clean up PRs, communicate bids with suppliers, and status program requirements daily
Interpret engineering data (specs, source control drawings) and apply FAR/DFAR/SOX compliance
Maintain compliant files, track program metrics, and build processes that scale
5+ years buying in Aerospace or Defense procurement/contract management
Hands-on sourcing across commodities — RFQs, supplier down-selects, formal negotiations
Experience with machined parts or avionics
Working knowledge of engineering specs/source control drawings and AS9100 standards
Strong analytical chops — data-driven, metrics-minded, critical thinker
Proven ability to multitask, hit tight deadlines, and define process in ambiguous environments
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee
