Job summary

Epic Aircraft in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Body Shop Technician to prepare aircraft surfaces and components for painting. You’ll support the paint process with surface prep, bodywork, masking, and shop maintenance, building a long-term career in aircraft manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Bodywork, automotive painting, or paint preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team with a positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following instructions and producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Self-motivated, organized, dependable, and driven.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare aircraft surfaces and components for painting.
• Perform surface prep and bodywork on aircraft parts prior to priming.
• Block and sand primed parts to ensure paint-ready surfaces.
• Assist with wet lay-up processes as required.
• Mask aircraft parts and components for painting.
• Complete required production and quality documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the body shop and staging areas.
• Follow all safety and quality standards.
