Job summary

Universal Avionics in Duluth, GA is seeking a Technical Project Manager who will drive the vision, execution, and delivery of advanced avionics systems from concept to certification.

You will collaborate with hardware, software, AI, and systems engineering teams; lead cross-functional programs; manage schedules, budgets, risks; and ensure regulatory readiness.

Relocation support is available; onsite role with a strong engineering culture and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in complex engineering/technical development programs in aerospace.
• Strong understanding of AI-enabled systems, computer vision, embedded systems, sensor fusion.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive execution.
• Excellent planning and communication with Jira/MS Project experience.
• Bachelor's in Engineering with 5+ years engineering and 3+ years leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex engineering programs from concept through certification and production transition.
• Develop project plans, proposals, and Statements of Work (SOWs); ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage schedules, scope, budget; track performance.
• Identify risks early and provide mitigation and reporting.
• Collaborate with Export Compliance and stakeholders for regulatory readiness.
