Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial in Madison, AL seeks an Avionics Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician for precision builds spanning modules, boards, panels and cables. You will interpret complex drawings, lay out and assemble with jigs and microscopes, and perform in-process tests to meet strict aerospace standards.

The role is on-site, full-time for five months, with a 6:00 AM–4:30 PM Monday–Thursday schedule and a rate of $27.35 per hour.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of hands-on assembly experience.
Background in soldering, SMT package work, and/or wire harness fabrication.
Proficiency reading complex blueprints and manufacturing documentation.
Comfort working under a microscope for precision assembly.
Familiar with RF/CNI assemblies and related test/inspection processes.
Knowledge of ESD, FOD, ITAR and AS9100 practices.

Responsibilities

Assemble both repetitive and unique electronic/mechanical subassemblies from modules to cables.
Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, blueprints and work instructions.
Lay out, fit, and assemble with hand/power tools and jigs.
Perform microscope-assisted, high-precision work and in-process validations.
Run continuity checks, final inspections, and rework as needed.
Support prototype and experimental builds under simulated conditions.
