Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Los Angeles, CA is hiring for an Assembler/Tester A (2nd Shift). The role involves assembling and testing mechanical assemblies and aerospace components for customers including major defense contractors.

You will interpret blueprints, perform testing, document results, and adhere to safety and tooling procedures. Responsibilities include quality inspections, cross-training, and preparing ATPs while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in assembly within manufacturing, aerospace or military environments.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience testing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic or electromechanical assemblies.
• Must reside within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA facility.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
• Position requires handling ITAR‑regulated information; applicant must be a U.S. person (citizen, permanent resident, political asylum seeker or refugee).
• Eligible for consideration under FCIHO policy regarding criminal history.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test routine mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and top assemblies, including military parts for customers such as Boeing Defense, Lockheed Martin, Sikorsky, Goodrich and Cessna.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, ensuring proper tooling, documentation and safety procedures.
• Prepare test reports and perform lock‑wire/safety wire and nameplate work.
• Use hand tools (pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, depth micrometers, calipers, lock‑wire pliers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, flow meters, multimeters, test boxes and other equipment).
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, testing schematics and written instructions.
• Perform cross‑training when required.
