Job Description

The Supplier Specialist position is a remote full-time role with periodic local travel requirements. Regional travel opportunities are available for those who are flexible and interested. Pre-employment background and drug screening are required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a partnership with assigned suppliers to meet customer requirements.
  • Manage the supplier's Open Order Report to minimize risk and improve delivery performance.
  • Analyze delivery trends, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Work with sub-tiers to improve communication and production commitments.
  • Coordinate cross-functional communication to prevent delays.
  • Provide regular updates on critical parts and delivery performance.
  • Periodic local travel is required.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • US citizenship required.
  • College degree preferred; experience may substitute for education.
  • At least five years of manufacturing experience, preferably in Aerospace, Defense, Shipbuilding, or Submarine industries.
  • Expertise in Supply Chain Management, Production Control, and Shop Floor Management.
  • Experience with continuous improvement, Lean, Risk Management, Six Sigma, Kaizen, PDCA preferred.
  • Strong Project Management skills preferred.
  • Experience with Production Readiness Reviews (PRR) preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver’s license and successful completion of motor vehicle history check.

Salary range: $70,000–$85,000. Placement varies based on experience, education, and skills.
