OEM Logistics, LLC is seeking a dedicated Supplier Specialist to partner with suppliers, monitor Open Order Reports, and drive on-time delivery in aerospace and defense supply chains. The role requires frequent local travel and daily travel to Blacksburg, VA, to support program needs.

The ideal candidate will have shipping/ procurement experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to solving delivery challenges in a fast-growing organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in supplier management, preferably in aerospace/defense contexts.
• Willingness to travel regionally, including local travel to Blacksburg, VA.

Responsabilités

• Develop a partnership relationship with the assigned suppliers and work as a team to meet the customer’s requirements.
• Manage the supplier's Open Order Report in conjunction with the supplier to minimize risk and identify opportunities to improve delivery where necessary
• Manage delivery performance trends and initiate root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Facilitate and drive timely and effective closure of corrective actions
• Work with problematic sub-tiers to improve communication and establish achievable production commitments.
• Facilitate cross-functional department communication and drive actions to prevent unnecessary delays
• Provide frequent written communication on mission critical parts and overall delivery performance
• Track delivery performance trends and initiate root cause analysis and corrective actions

The Supplier Specialist position is a full-time position with frequent local travel requirements. Regional travel opportunities are available for those that are flexible and have interest. Pre-employment background and drug screening are required.

This position may require daily travel to Blacksburg, VA.

Supplier Specialist Primary Duties and Responsibilities
