Job summary

OEM Logistics, LLC, founded in January 2023, is growing in the aerospace and defense sectors. Headquartered in Arizona, we seek a Supplier Specialist for a full-time role with frequent local travel, including daily travel to Odessa, FL.

You will develop supplier partnerships, manage delivery performance, and drive corrective actions across cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements and minimize risk.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• College degree preferred; may substitute additional experience in lieu of education.
• 5–10 years of manufacturing experience (aerospace/defense/ship-building or submarine industry preferred).
• Must have and maintain a current, valid driver’s license and pass a pre-employment motor vehicle history check.
• Expertise in supply chain management, production control, and shop floor management.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and PDCA is preferred.
• Strong project management experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Strong independent decision-making skills and analytical judgment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Programs required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a partnership relationship with assigned suppliers and work as a team to meet customer requirements.
• Manage the supplier Open Order Report with the supplier to minimize risk and improve delivery.
• Monitor delivery performance trends and initiate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Facilitate timely closure of corrective actions and drive improvements.
• Work with sub-tiers to improve communication and establish achievable production commitments.
• Coordinate cross-functional communication and drive actions to prevent delays.
• Provide frequent written updates on mission-critical parts and overall delivery performance.
• Track delivery trends and initiate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Periodic local travel is required.
• Other duties as required.

Headquartered in Arizona, OEM is experiencing rapid growth and we’re searching for Supplier Specialists with a passion for manufacturing and aerospace to join our team.

The Supplier Specialist position is a full-time position with frequent local travel requirements. Regional travel opportunities are available for those that are flexible and have interest. Pre-employment background and drug screening are required. This position may require daily travel to Odessa, FL.

Supplier Specialist Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop a partnership relationship with the assigned suppliers and work as a team to meet the customer’s requirements.

• Minimum of five to ten years of manufacturing experience required (Aerospace, Defense, Ship Building, or SubmarineIndustry experience preferred)
• Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license and must successfully complete a pre-employment motor vehicle history check
• Expertise in Supply Chain Management, Production Control, and Shop Floor Management
• Experience with continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing principles, Risk Management, Six Sigma, Kaizen events, PDCA preferred
• Strong Project Management experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Professionalism, integrity, and exceptional attention to detail
• Strong independent decision-making skills, excellent analytical skills and professional judgment
• Experience with Microsoft Office Programs required
