Job summary

Axiom Space seeks an energetic AI&T Engineering Support Specialist to support the EVA team by developing and maintaining detailed work instructions and procedures for the assembly, integration, and testing of spacesuit hardware and tools.

The role requires strong organizational, time management, and communication skills, with a focus on producing precise manufacturing instructions and ensuring production schedules are aligned with project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 10 years aerospace industry experience
• 5 years in technical writing
• Ability to analyze complex data and create clear, end-user instructions
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience with Jira and Confluence desirable
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Develop processes and procedures for assembly, integration, and testing of hardware
• Interpret and communicate technical requirements per drawings and specifications to create accurate work instructions
• Manage document life cycle (generation, release, maintenance/update, retirement)
• Additional duties as assigned
