Job summary

Heven AeroTech is seeking an Aerodynamic Systems Engineer to support design, analysis, and verification of unmanned aircraft systems. You will develop aerodynamic requirements, run CFD simulations, and ensure aircraft performance meets program requirements through design, wind tunnel testing, and flight-test correlation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering and hands-on CFD or aerodynamic prediction tool experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace/mechanical engineering or related field.
• Strong fundamentals in lift/drag, stability, and control.
• Hands-on CFD experience and aero prediction tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform aerodynamic analysis of UAS airframes including lift, drag, stability, and control derivatives.
• Develop and maintain aerodynamic databases and 6-DOF simulation inputs.
• Define and verify aerodynamic performance requirements at vehicle/subsystem level.
• Support wind tunnel test planning, execution, and data reduction.
• Conduct design verification through analysis, simulation, and testing.
• Evaluate airflow around airframes, propulsion integration, and payloads.
• Collaborate on aero-structural and aero-propulsive interactions.
• Support configuration trade studies and stability margins.
• Generate technical memos and presentations for stakeholders.
• Participate in PDR/CDR reviews providing aero input and risk assessments.
• Support flight test planning and post-flight data analysis.
• Improve internal aerodynamic tools, workflows, and best practices.
